Ketogenic Diet Stops Seizures For Mayo Clinic Pediatric Epilepsy Patient
healthy diets November 15th. 2019, 12:08amLess than a year ago, four-year-old Max Irvine was having hundreds of seizures a day. Under the guidance of Mayo Clinic pediatric neurologist Elaine Wirrell, M.D., Troy and Kristine Irvine took Max off all his epilepsy medications and relied on the ketogenic diet to inhibit his seizures. The day he took his last pill, he started to walk again. That evening he began talking again and Max has not had another seizure since that day. This video tells their story.

I'm not sure if this would help anyone but I'm 29 .iv was diagnosed with epilepsy at 12.I didn't start the keto diet to stop epilepsy but I started it because I'm a body builder who was trying to get lean.I also take bcaa's with keto .iv noticed I just feel better .I'm lifting more .growing faster.and this is no lie .I'm hitting new pr,s every end of the month.I don't get into these whole oh this is a miracle diet stuff because I just don't believe there's a perfect diet but if it helps with seizures that's great and if your looking to get bigger while somehow getting lean at the same time KETO DIET all the way WITH BCAA,S and creatine of course .

I've had grand mal seizures for 32 years…I've been on Dylantin and Phenobarbital, and now I'm on Tegretol but it isn't fully keeping the seizure activity down. I have tried different diets and nothing has ever worked fully, but I've never tried the Ketogenic Diet before…this video is very interesting to me-I want to try something that works for others and see if it might help me!

I have some mental health issues and a loose diagnosis of temporal lobe epilepsy, I was wondering if there are positive effects for those with TLE or mental illness?
