Carol Flynn weighs 27stone and her health is deteriorating rapidly. Her family fear that she is dying before their eyes, but are anxious about her resorting to surgery. However, Carol believes it is the only option for her and is eagerly awaiting her consultation with Shaw Somers.
28 year old Kathleen Brown is desperate for weight loss surgery. At 21 stone she’ has tried every diet under the sun, but nothing works for her. She’ is ready to go through with gastric bypass, but she can’’t get NHS funding for the operation. As a last desperate measure, Kathleen’’s mum turns the basement into a flat in order to sell it, in a bid to raise the £7,000 needed to pay for the private surgery. But will the band be as successful as Kathleen hopes?
We also meet Jeff O’Shea. He’ is so thrilled with the gastric bypass surgery that’ helped him shed 15stone –that he had the date of the operation tattooed on his arm.

Fat Doctor goes on a remarkable journey following the patients of three of Britain’s most sought after weight loss surgeons. It focuses on the obese patients who undergo the operations and discovers why they became obese and the impact life changing and often life saving weight loss surgery has on their lives. We find out what their lives are like now and how this has affected their physical, social and psychological lives.

When we ring in a new year, we set new goals. Weight loss is a huge one for many of us. We want to lose 10, 20, 30 lbs. We decide we will go on Weight Watchers, start a keto diet, paleo, intermittent fasting, diet supplements or whatever the current diet trend may be. The reality is that not all diets are made the same nor do they help people the same way. Another stark fact is that 95% of diets fail!?!! Why does that happen? It’s because we plan for the short and fast term, not for the long term.

If you want to lost weight permanently, you have to make a lifestyle change and adopt new healthier habits. You have to want to do this and not want to turn back to your old ways. I have researched 5 ways that can lead to permanent weight loss for you. It’s not going to be easy (it’s not terrible either) and it won’t be overnight (no immediate satisfaction – sorry!). But it is possible.

This will be a shock to everyone that doesn’t know me in real life.. but yes I lost 60 pounds! I was fed up with being unhealthy and decided to change my life, and 4 years later it’s crazy that I’m finally here and making this video to share to everyone. I remember envisioning this moment whenever I felt discouraged or unmotivated with my weight loss journey… Honestly guys, if I can do it, YOU CAN!!! Don’t let anyone OR yourself keep you away from your goals and dreams. There’s so much more I could share but this video would be a billiofwniofjaeiofjw minutes long haha, so I’ve narrowed it down to 10 super easy tips to get you to lose weight and keep it off! I followed these tips when I was losing weight, and still continue to follow them to this day. This is a lifestyle change and not a quick fix, but it’s the only way you’ll be able to get rid of your weight and keep it off. I promise if you make these changes to your life, you will see a change in your body. 🙂

Just wanted to put a disclaimer as well: Weight is a really complex thing, and you could be unable to lose weight for a certain number of medical reasons.. soo this might not work for everyone.
